The YouTube advertising market is now open to Estonian companies

YouTube announced yesterday, that the markets of Estonia and other Baltic countries are now open to local advertisers. What does it mean?

YouTube.ee

First, that AdWords users now have the opportunity to set their ads only for Estonian viewers. Because YouTube is the second most viewed page in Estonia after Google.ee (from time to time Facebook is still more popular), then it should be a better place for advertisers than DELFI or Postimehe banners.

On the other hand, for those interested in YouTube, that YouTube.ee now lets you see which movie, sports, music, etc. videos are popular in Estonia.

All in all, the Estonian market with 1.3 million inhabitants has taken a big step in the world of online advertising. The question is how cunningly and skillfully it can be used.

With AdWords, or Google ads, you can get decent attention, but there is a chance that the invested money will burn in a big flame. One of the easiest and most affordable options is to advertise on your videos. Technically, this means producing a video and using advertisements on it that take the viewer directly to the page of the product or service being advertised. Ads can also be shown on top of existing videos. In terms of clicks, an ad is better than a link in the video description.

I thank my friend Kristjan Kolbret, From Vamp Digital for the observation. If you are interested in advertising on YouTube videos, I recommend contacting them, but your current Google AdWords partners can certainly handle the matter as well. Test and surprise them with this question.
