Estonian Museums on YouTube

The long-awaited opening was held yesterday with a big party and a live broadcast on ETV Estonian National Museum, which opens its doors to visitors from tomorrow. Harder journalists have already noticed that the museum's business card or website is only available in Estonian.

From the museum's website also finds links to social media channels, which are Facebook, YouTube and blog.

A first look at ERM's YouTube channel shows that this exhibit has been neglected - the YouTube channel, created back in 2009, had its last video uploaded 4 months ago, although much more expensive audiovisual content has been produced in recent months.

Estonian Museums on YouTube?

There are nearly 250 museums in Estonia, of which a few dozen also have a YouTube channel. Although ERM's YouTube needs to be organized and supplemented, at the moment it can be argued that only Lennusadam delivers better on this platform.

NB: the list is incomplete!

Estonian museums certainly have significantly more audiovisual content, which could be shared on the Internet to gain attention and increase the interest and awareness of visitors.

More than 30 museums have their own YouTube channel, which should be dusted as often as the exhibits, and in addition to all the updating, it is also worth updating the video channel.
